The Arebos 50L has been designed to be able to meet most expectations, whether in the garage, the workshop or even for leisure. This versatility is ensured by the numerous valves provided which allow, among other things, to inflate bicycle tires, balloons, and air mattresses and which can also be used for swimming pools and boats. Thanks to the inflation gauge with a manometer, the pressure is always perfect, while the Y-shaped quick coupling offers the possibility to connect 2 devices to the compressor. Its practicality doesn’t stop there, as it also has 2 wheels for easy transport and movement, its feet guarantee optimal stability and its tall, narrow design prevents it from being cumbersome despite its good 50 L capacity.
My opinion: It is difficult to distinguish between vertical compressors that often have the same specificities, but this Arebos 50L is nevertheless my favourite, the one that left the best impression among all those I tested. This is mainly due to the fact that, in addition to having a large capacity and a pressure of up to 10 bars, it comes with a whole set of valves and this is what allows it to make a difference from its competitors. It is also very easy to use, its handling is excellent thanks to its wheels and I confirm that it is perfectly stable once in use. It is perhaps a little noisy with its 97 dB but it is generally the case with all the devices of this type and one cannot thus really reproach it. If I had to recommend only one, it would clearly be this one!

However, it does not compromise on performance: with its 750 W motor, it easily fits in the garage or workshop. This is especially true since its 24 L tank is more than sufficient for painting, blowing, sanding or simply inflating tires, balloons or mattresses. It ensures in these various applications thanks to a pressure reducer (max 8 bar) and the presence of a quick coupling and a pressure gauge. Thanks to its handle, moving it is surprisingly simple, its feet effectively dampen vibrations and its oil-free motor requires no particular maintenance.
My opinion: What silence! Before testing it, I didn’t really realize the difference it would make to go from 80/90 dB to only 57 dB and in fact, it is quite extraordinary. If you ever work with a compressor in your workshop on a regular basis, this Einhell can provide you with a real extra comfort: although it is obviously not totally silent, the noise it emits is much more pleasant, especially over time. This is not its only advantage, as it is of good quality, well designed, perfectly stable and practical with its handle. This silent technology comes at a price, the price difference is rather obvious, but for a more bearable working environment, it is an excellent investment!

The Mecafer 425090, also known as the Fifty in reference to its 50L tank capacity, is as efficient as it is practical. It has a maximum pressure of 10 bar and, thanks to its 2 HP motor, it responds to any need to inflate, blow, staple, etc. Optimally designed, it has a very high design to take up little space when storing and as it is equipped with large wheels and a handlebar, it is very easy to move it to where it needs to be used (its power cable is also 1.80 m). Finally, its motor has oil-free technology, which means that no maintenance is required on the compression head.
My opinion: Among the whole range of vertical compressors, I would put this Mecafer in the good quality/price category. It is solid, easy to use, its tank is generous in size and as far as its operation is concerned, it is perfect. I also liked the fact that it doesn’t vibrate too much, that it is stable and above all that it is easy to move, transport and store. Of course, it is not perfect, and its main defect is probably the noise it emits: it is quite present and maybe even more than with other more advanced models. But this is a detail that we are generally aware of, so it is not disqualifying either, especially since its price is attractive and it is even proposed with or without a hose, depending on whether you are equipped or not.

It is solid and of very good quality, hyper-functional, well designed with its handle and wheels and it is also available in different versions. You can choose between more or less powerful compressors, especially without accessories or with those you want, such as a blower gun or a hose. It’s a great choice for all DIYers, even the most experienced!

This is due in part to the fact that it is limited to a capacity of 24 L, which does not prevent it from being useful for many everyday tasks, whether for DIY or for inflating tires, balloons, mattresses or even buoys. It has a maximum pressure of 10 bar, a quick coupling for changing tools, a pressure gauge and a pressure reducer for optimal use when needed. Like the more advanced models, it also operates without oil, which greatly limits the maintenance required.
My opinion: If you are looking for a small and inexpensive vertical compressor, I would recommend this Scheppach 24L! One thing is certain, it is not made to equip large pneumatic tools but on the other hand, for all the most classic domestic uses, it has no problem answering present. The capacity of its tank is quite sufficient to re-inflate your tires and its small size allows you to easily store it between two uses. Of course, it does not escape the big flaw of these devices, namely the noise during use, but I found that it was not unbearable either, which is a good point. For occasional use and to help out when necessary, you will not regret having it at home!
