To power, an airbrush for body paint touch-ups, hobbies or even some cosmetic/esthetic professions, the FD-196 compressor from Fengda has a pressure of 6 bars for optimal results. It works without oil (it is a simple 3.5 L tank of pressurized air), it has an output with a pressure regulator (filter + pressure gauge) for precise and safe use. Usable with all airbrush guns with a nozzle between 0.2 and 1 mm, it is distinguished by the low noise it produces. The fact that it is silent (47 dB) means that it can be used anywhere, whether at home or at work, especially since its compact size and low weight mean that it can be taken anywhere.
My opinion: Fengda is a must-have brand when it comes to airbrush compressors and among all the very good models of the brand, this FD-196 is my favourite. Do you want to know why? Simply because it combines performance with practicality. With its excellent pressure, it follows you without any problem in all your activities, whether you are passionate about modelling, tattooing or even nail art. But it also loads very quickly, so you don’t have to waste any time, its flow is constant, it makes almost no noise (at least it manages to be forgotten) and to make matters worse, its double handle makes it super handy. Its safety valve also works perfectly, so the device doesn’t heat up, even after several hours of use. If I had to recommend only one, it would clearly be this one!

The Sparmax SPC63561 is an oil-free piston compressor that doesn’t do things by halves, since thanks to its 2 outlets, it allows two people to work at the same time. To ensure performance, it is equipped with an airflow of 23 to 32 L per minute, an air tank of 2.5 L (with gauge), a pressure regulator with a filter but also an on/off button that allows changing the pressure it delivers from 2.7 to 4.1 bars. Complete and aimed above all at professionals, it is dressed in addition to light metal protection that helps both to protect its important elements while improving its portability since it still weighs a little over 10 kg.
My Take: If you’re looking for a reliable, professional quality airbrush compressor that you can rely on in any situation, this is the Sparmax for you. Its reloading is incredibly fast, its flow rate is perfectly constant and its manufacturing quality is really irreproachable, whether it is in its different elements or in its protective shell. I have nothing but good things to say about it and if you are ready to invest some money to acquire a professional and powerful machine, you can bet on this one!

Fengda fd-186 air compressor is powerful and with a constant airflow! With its FD-186, Fengda offers an airbrush compressor that is as practical as it is efficient for all precision work. It has all the necessary technical features such as a 3L air tank, a pressure regulator and an automatic shut-off system to guarantee the user’s safety. Thanks to its adjustable 4 bars, it is suitable for leisure as well as for some professional activities, especially since it accommodates all standard-size guns (with nozzle from 0.2 to 1 mm). Faithful to the models of the brand, it has the advantage of being rather quiet (only 47 dB in operation) and to be both light and compact (about thirty centimetres and only 5 kg) to be used anywhere according to the needs.
My opinion: I wanted to select this Fengda FD-186 because it has almost all the features and technical characteristics of the FD-196 (which is my favourite) but at a more affordable price. The main difference between these two versions is that this one goes down to 4 bars of pressure instead of 6 but for home airbrushing, hobbies, or even cosmetics, this is normally quite enough. As for the rest, it has the same advantages that I found attractive on the other one, namely a fairly fast reload, a quite acceptable and bearable noise, a constant flow as well as the presence of a large handle to move it at will. Except for its tendency to sometimes get a little hot, it’s a good device, and it’s the one that offers the best quality/price ratio in my eyes.

It has a pressure of 6 bar which remains constant throughout the use, a tank which works absolutely without oil (simply with a water filter) and therefore does not pollute the air, a compressed air regulator for precise work and an automatic shut-off system. In terms of noise, it is only 47 dB in operation, which makes it very pleasant for the user and the potential customer. In addition to its metal frame, which guarantees perfect protection against shocks, it is equipped with a handle that makes it easier to carry, especially since it is quite light.
My opinion: This WilTec compressor is probably the best alternative to the Fendga I just presented. Even better, if you want a really quiet device that is perfectly discreet and that you quickly forget once you start using it, it will give you complete satisfaction. The little noise it produces is indeed its main asset, but what is appreciable is that it is not satisfied only with that. I also found it to be efficient, pleasant to use and quite versatile. It’s a real pleasure to use, it’s very easy to adjust, and as with the other models in this selection, I have no complaints about the consistency of its flow. No matter what activity you need it for (even if it’s a professional activity), it’s a great choice!
